In'am was quiet as Sara trekked into the village square. Her feet ached and her water skin had been empty for the last few hours, so she had been relieved when she finally saw the small Hitari village. She was kicking herself for not getting a new pair of sandals before leaving like her father had suggested; she had insisted that she wouldn't need them, but the broken sandals in her pack and the blisters on her feet said otherwise. She had actually taken them off a ways back, but she couldn't bring herself to ditch them for sentimentality's sake. Also, she figured she might be able to get them fixed for cheaper than just buying a new pair; after all, they were made of really nice leather.
Wincing as she stepped, Sara first made her way to the village center, where she found the community water well. It was early, so Sara was able to quickly retrieve water from the bottom of the well and fill her skin after drinking a few handfuls of water out of her cupped hands. After lowering the bucket back into the well Sara took a few moments off of her feet, sitting on the edge of the well and watching as people slowly began to emerge from their homes to open their humble shops. She was starting to get hungry, but as she spotted the cobbler opening his shop she decided she should try to get her shoes fixed before trying to find herself something to eat. Adjusting her pack, Sara stood up and walked over to the cobbler's door, knocking politely.
"Come in," the reply came, beckoning Sara to enter. Sara obliged, her lips twisting into a soft smile as she smelled the fresh leather of new shoes. Sara's father had been close friends with a cobbler in Nour, so they had often visited his shop which was much like this one. As she entered, the elderly cobbler looked down at Sara's feet and then up to her, shaking his head. "Don't tell me you walked all the way here like this."
Sara shook her head. "My sandals broke." She paused, pulling her pack off and pulling out the sandals, showing them to the cobbler. Instantly his face scrunched, and Sara realized that it was not just because of their disheveled state. She lowered them. "I'm guessing from that look that I just need a new pair, huh?"
The man nodded. "You needed one a long time ago, dear. Now come over here and let me measure you."

Sara emerged from the shop a few minutes later, having put her order in for a brand new pair of leather sandals. While she wouldn't have them for a few hours, it wasn't going to stop her from going to get something to eat from the local tavern. It was rather quiet when she entered - again, she assumed it was a result of the time of day - so she was able to obtain a seat at the bar, quickly ordering herself sustenance. As she waited, she began to sort through her pack, taking inventory of what was left and what she would need to replace during her stop in the In'am.
