Skills

Skills are special skills or traits that characters possess that separate them from the pack. While not hard-fast rules, skills allow RPers to more clearly define the abilities of their characters in comparison to others.

Characters gain skills as they grow. All characters gain a skill at:

Basic Skills

Basic skills are skills that have no post requirement.

Beastfoe
You are a sworn enemy of the beast Laguz, and possess knowledge of their physiology and tactics. As such, you are more effective in fighting them.

Birdfoe
You are a sworn enemy of the bird Laguz, and possess knowledge of their physiology and tactics. As such, you are more effective in fighting them.

Blessing (Heron Laguz only)
Your innate healing magic is strong, allowing you to mend minor wounds with just a touch.

Blood Tide (Red Dragon Laguz only)
Your dragon blood flows strong within you, causing power to radiate from you. Your presence mere increases the strength and defense of your allies.

Boon (Heron and Dragon Laguz only)
Your innate healing magic is strong, allowing you to relieve people of ailments like poison with just a touch.

Celerity
Your legs have grown in strength over the years, allowing you to run faster and further than your peers.

Daunt
Your very air and demeanor is intimidating, striking fear into the heart of the weak willed. The craven may hesitate when attacking you.

Dragonfoe
You are a sworn enemy of the dragon Laguz, and possess knowledge of their physiology and tactics. As such, you are more effective in fighting them.

Flourish
Your control over your own strength is high, allowing you to non-lethally subdue opponents with blows that others would kill with.

Fortune
You are extraordinarily lucky. You seem to avoid glancing blows through sheer dumb luck.

Gamble
You are a wild fighter. Your strikes are known for being devastating, but your accuracy leaves something to be desired.

Guard
You are a experienced in keeping others from harm, and you have are skilled at using your own body to defend the lives of others.

Howl (Beast Laguz only)
Your roars are as fearsome as your claws, allowing you to stop your foes in their tracks with a mere bellow.

Insight
You are known for your good eyesight. You see things quickly that others would take time to notice.

Imbue
You heal unusually fast. Minor wounds that may give others pause disappear in record time for you.

Miracle
You survive attacks that would cripple greater men. There may be blood dripping from your wounds, but somehow, you keep going.

Pass
Your movements are like those of a snake, allowing you to slither through spaces most would struggle to.

Provoke
You carry a cocky, almost arrogant air. You are especially adept at making people angry enough to forget what they are doing and focus their attention on you.

Resolve
You have mastered your fight or flight response. You maintain a calm, clear head even in the most dire of circumstances, even to the point of fighting stronger.

Sacrifice (Staff users only)
You are filled with a hidden power that lies deep within you. At the cost of your own well-being, you can muster up the power to heal even the greatest of wounds.

Savior
Your desire to keep others from harm is unparalleled, so much so that even carrying another, you feel unburdened.

Shade
You have a tendency to go unnoticed. People tend to focus on others before they look at you.

Smite
You are a master of unarmed combat. Others would think twice before taking you on in a barfight.

Steal (Thieves only)
Your fingers are quiet and nimble, allowing you to pilfer items from others right under their nose.

Vigilance
You are known for your good hearing. Your hear things that most people would fail to notice.

White Pool (Dragon Laguz only)
Your dragon blood flows strong within you, causing power to radiate from you. Your presence mere increases the magic and speed of your allies.

Wrath
You become a beast of rage when backed into a corner. Though your body may be weakened, your enraged spirit fills your strikes with power.

Advanced Skills

Advanced skills are skills that can only be taken once a character has 250 posts.

Adept
Your skill and speed as a fighter allows you to dance around your opponents, allowing you to attack twice in the space others may only attack once.

Cancel
Your pinpoint accuracy or overwhelming strength allows you to disable opponents, stunning them momentarily and halting their attack

Counter
Your quick reactions have been honed for combat, allowing you to aim small strikes at an opponent a midst their own attacks.

Disarm (Beorc only)
You are skilled enough with your weapon of choice to capitalize on a weakness in an opponent's stance, allowing you to disarm your foes.

Maelstrom (Bird Laguz only)
Your affinity with the spirits of wind is strong, allowing you to create bursts of wind with a flap of your wings strong enough to send men to the ground.

Nullify
You have learned to overcome your most glaring weaknesses, allowing you to tackle enemies with normally unfair advantages as if they didn't exist.

Quickclaw (Beast Laguz only)
You have trained yourself specially to fight ranged enemies, allowing you to close gaps with great haste, and swat arrows out of the air.

Renewal
You heal incredibly fast. Major wounds that would keep others bedridden disappear in record time for you.

Stillness
Your ability to blend into the background rivals even the greatest of wallflowers. It is hard for people to notice you if you don't want them to.

Vantage
You are almost impossible to get the jump on. Rarely does something catch you off guard, allowing you to respond to most surprise attacks with one of your own.

Wildheart (Laguz only)
You have complete mastery over your transforming abilities. Though at lesser power than your full animal form, you can transform only the body parts that you need.
